I have been cooking up a storm for Harris' first bithday party this Sunday.  I made a chocolate chip angle food cake, and stuffed a cupcake in the hole. Then I added frosting (That’s the Best Frosting I’ve Ever Had) with chocolate coated coconut flakes to look like a nest and put some mini eggs on top.

And of course we have to have Birthday cupcakes (Martha Stewart Hi Hat cupcakes). The last couple of times that I made these I have found that the filling has been grainy so this time I added 1tbsp molases and 1 tbsp honey (this is my usual substitute for corn syrup) Also the cupcakes are actually a chocolate fudge brownie cupcake becauce I like that recipe better.
