My super awesome Ice house/fort

I cut the tops off of the large 4 L milk jugs and filled them up with water and food colouring outside on the deck. My boys and I made the first few ice blocks on New Year's Eve and have been making more blocks ever since. Usually it only takes one night to freeze the water but some days I was too busy to make news ones, some days it was just too cold to go outside (-40 Celsius) and we even had a few days at -5 that took more than one night to freeze. I also used the smaller milk cartons and large juice tetra pack containers but they could only be reused one or twice before the freezing ice busted the container. The plastic milk jugs will last 8 or 9 nights, and even longer if it is a slower freeze. I also did one large batch of water frozen in plastic ziplock bags but didn't like the shape as much when building and also could not reuse the bags at all. to build the ice house I made some slush in pails with water and snow and used it as a cement to stick the blocks together (the snow was way to cold and dry on it's own to stick together)

I finally finished the blinds for Harris' room.  There are a few wrinkles but I think they look good, and Harris likes them too. :)

We had a few first this week. Harris started to say his name very clearly.  On Tuesday I made sushi for the first time. Wednesday Harris said Nic for the first time, until now he has been calling Nicolas Geeki or Ki Ki and Andrew Dandow.  Now for the weekend coming up Nicolas and I are going to go camping (for our family reunion). I made some homemade marsh mellows and cookies for the big event.

I just made a digital card for my husband, for our 10th anniversary and printed it out at home. I used  Things I Love About You {Oversized Page Kit} By Blagovesta Gosheva wich was part of the Digi files #53 from the daily digi 

 I love this kit and it was so easy to make a card digitally.

This is just a single printout but the digital shadows make it look like it has dimension.  I hope my hubby likes it.

Nicolas and Andrew got a hold of my new tablet and used it like a photo-booth.  They took about 130 pictures, here are just a few of the highlights.

So I finally got some time to finish the layouts I started on iNSD. I used the Stargazer kit by One Little Bird. I tried to use Peppermint's  tutorial on shadowing washi tape but think it is harder to do when you have multiple layers under the tape.  I will keep trying.

I have been feeling inspired lately.  What has inspired me?  Some great sales on printing. :)

I love this picture of Nicolas. He has such beautiful eyes no matter what colour they turn out to be. They can change from day to day, sometimes grey sometimes yellow, sometimes blue, and sometimes they are all three at the same time.
